Trajectory Matters More Than State

Des Traynor has long been regarded as an Oracle in the world of product design. His contributions to the Intercom blog guided the careers of product managers, designers, and entrepreneurs. They also guided many thousands of customers to Intercom.

One of my favourite contributions of his is Trajectory matters more than state.

The title alone is great advice. So is this:

“But think of it this way: which deserves more attention, a big wound that’s healing, or a tiny tumor that’s growing? It’s not about where it is, it’s about where it’s going.”
